Flick identifies Barcelona’s summer deals

A Spanish press report said, today, Saturday, that German Hansi Flick, Barcelona’s new coach, has set out his demands in the next summer Mercato.

Within the next few days, Barcelona is scheduled to announce the official appointment of Flick as coach of the team, succeeding Xavi Hernandez.

According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Flick needs a midfielder.

German Joshua Kimmich, a Bayern Munich player, is considered the closest, especially since his contract has one year remaining with the Bavarian club.

In addition to Kimmich, Flick agreed to sign Argentine Guido Rodriguez, whose contract with Real Betis expires at the end of the current season.

The newspaper added that Flick also wants to sign new defenders, perhaps in the left-back position.

Barcelona will try to extend Joao Cancelo’s loan, even with the presence of Alejandro Balde, who has been injured for some time.

The Catalan club also has two young players in the left-back position, Hector Forte and Julian Araujo, who is loaned to Las Palmas.

The Blaugrana will also look for a new winger who has individual solutions, such as Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, knowing that his contract contains a penalty clause, worth 60 million euros.

The newspaper said that this deal will not take place unless the Brazilian Rafinha is eliminated.

Barcelona also has in mind the duo, Bernardo Silva, the Manchester City star, and Xavi Simons, the Paris Saint-Germain player.
