Peres ends his meeting with Macron with a decisive stance
A press report, today, Wednesday, revealed Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez’s response to French President Emmanuel Macron regarding Kylian Mbappe’s participation in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
Mbappe officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, after the end of the current season, and before the start of the Euro 2024 competition and the Paris Olympics.
Many sources suggest that Mbappe will be a Real Madrid player next season, although neither the player nor the club has announced anything.
The Olympic Games in France will start on July 26 and continue until August 11, during which time there will be preparations from Real Madrid for the new season.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Perez is known to reject the idea of any Real Madrid player participating in the Olympics, especially since he considers the Olympics to be an unofficial tournament, and not on the agenda of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
The newspaper added that there was a meeting during a lunch at the Elysee, yesterday, Tuesday, between Peres and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
She pointed out that the meeting ended without any change in the views of Perez, who completely rejected the idea of Mbappe participating in the Olympics, despite Macron’s attempts and pressure.
