Real Madrid is planning to sign a new defender in the next summer Mercato due to the possible departure of duo David Alaba and Nacho Fernandez.
According to the Spanish Defense Central network, Real Madrid’s list of interests in the defense line includes the duo Gonzalo Inacio (Sporting Lisbon) and Antonio Silva (Benfica).
She explained that 22-year-old Inacio is the preferred candidate for Real Madrid, but it is very difficult to sign him in the short term, because he has become a very important player in Sporting Lisbon.
She stated that the release clause in Inacio’s contract is 60 million euros, and although Real Madrid is closely following the player, they are not thinking about reaching this number at the present time.
The Merengue set a maximum budget for contracting a new defender at 50 million euros, taking into account that the player is receiving interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, and Real Madrid does not want to enter a bidding for the deal.
On the other hand, 19-year-old Antonio Silva will not be able to leave Benfica unless the latter receives at least 100 million euros.
It was revealed that Real Madrid inquired about the deal, and realized that the penalty clause in its contract was 120 million, but the Merengue did not intend to pay this number.
