Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele showed his quality during his team’s friendly match against Juventus, today, Wednesday, as part of the team’s preparations for next season.
The French international scored Barca’s two goals in the match that ended in a 2-2 draw, while Moise Kean was the owner of the Juve double.
Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez spoke about his team’s performance against Juve, in statements highlighted by the Catalan newspaper, “Mundo Deportivo”, pointing to the role played by the temperature and dry grass in the slow pace of his team, which led to this result.
Despite that, he stated, “But we were better in the second half, after they imposed their control in periods of the first half.”
Xavi praised Dembele, saying about him, “He is a different and special player, who gives us a lot and makes the difference in light of the way we play.”
The Blaugrana coach pointed to Dembele’s improvement in terms of goal-making since last season, adding, “Since I arrived at the club, I see him happy, and this is the reason why I insist on staying.”
The Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic was also praised by Xavi, who praised his technical abilities and his excellent vision on the field, after his participation in the second half of the match.
