Real Madrid has signed German international Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea, as the giant defender signed a four-year contract with the royal team.
This came after many speculations linking the German international’s insistence to moving to Real Madrid at the end of the season, and leaving Chelsea.
According to the newspaper “Athletic”, the 29-year-old has signed his contract with the La Liga champions, to stay in Spain until 2026.
The newspaper indicated that with the completion of the medical examination, the deal will be officially announced after the Champions League final at the end of this month.
And Thomas Tuchel, the Blues coach, confirmed last month that Rudiger had informed him of his desire to move to another place in a free transfer deal in the summer.
According to Spanish reports, Rudiger will earn between €9m and €10m a year after tax, terms said to be much more than what he was offered to stay in West London.
