Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his sympathy for Levante, who were relegated to the Spanish second division, today, Thursday, after their defeat against the Royal team (6-0).
“They are a great club, and I am sure they will be back in La Liga,” Ancelotti said, during the press conference after the match.
When asked about the fruitful pairing of Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema, he replied: “It is the product of the team’s work, and with time, they both understand each other, and therefore they play distinctly together.”
Regarding the way he intends to face Liverpool in the Champions League final, the Italian coach said: “Sometimes it will be (4-3-3), and in others it will turn into (4-4-2).”
And he added, “There is no specific way. It depends on the variables of the match, as happened against Manchester City when we switched from (4-3-3) to (4-4-1-1).”
And whether he expected to be crowned the best coach in Europe, Ancelotti replied: “It is difficult to answer this question, I do not like to give myself votes, this is the role of others .. Now I live a happy moment, and I hope it lasts.”
The Real Madrid coach announced his intention to push Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin against Kadesh in the next match, while Belgian Thibaut Courtois will guard the den against Real Betis, at the end of La Liga.
