Dani Ceballos’ situation at Real Madrid has taken a huge turn in recent weeks. The former Arsenal loanee is gradually paving the way for a permanent place in the team with Galacticos.
According to Sergio Santos of Spanish newspaper AS, the Spanish midfielder is set to get extra minutes to prove himself with coach Carlo Ancelotti, who he has long trusted and praised publicly in January.
Ceballos showed great professionalism even when he was not an integral part of the team dynamics. He never complained and reportedly put in a lot of extra effort to train at home, to maintain rhythm and sharpness despite not playing.
Such was the Spaniard day in and day out, and he did his best in training on the field as well. And of course, Ancelotti is happy with Ceballos’ recent performance.
After much speculation that he will be sold, it is now assumed that there is a lot of chatter within the club considering keeping him would be a good decision.
The 25-year-old is gaining the confidence of the club’s staff and many believe it is best to give him a new contract.
Ancelotti’s unwavering support is particularly vital, as he sees Ceballos as part of his squad next season. He’s only started one game so far this season, but that could soon change.
