Guardiola threatens Real Madrid’s dream
Spanish Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach, has become a threat to one of Real Madrid’s dreams in the summer Mercato.
According to the German newspaper “Bild”, Manchester City continues to cause problems for Real Madrid after Guardiola asked the club’s management to sign Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich.
Davies’ relationship with Bayern Munich became tense after he asked to double his salary to 14 million euros in order to agree to a renewal.
The German newspaper explained that Manchester City entered into the deal and offered Davies an annual salary of 15 million euros.
She pointed out that Real Madrid cannot pay this figure, especially since the maximum salary in the Merengue is 10 million euros.
She concluded: “Real Madrid is still betting that Davies dreams of playing for Merengue, in addition to the presence of his close friend David Alaba at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that the Bayern player will guarantee a place in the starting lineup with Royal.”
