Barcelona Hit by Shock as Raphinha Suffers Injury Against France

Recently, the Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed that Raphinha, winger and captain of FC Barcelona, has suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh.
The injury occurred while the winger was representing Brazil national football team in an international friendly against France national football team, played in Massachusetts, United States, on Thursday night.
Raphinha is now set to return to Barcelona, where he is expected to undergo further medical examinations at the club’s facilities to determine the severity of the injury and establish a potential recovery timeline.
According to journalist Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo, sources in Brazil suggest that the influential winger could face approximately one month on the sidelines.
If confirmed, this would represent a significant blow for Barcelona, as Raphinha would miss several key fixtures, including important La Liga matches and the UEFA Champions League quarter-final ties against Atlético Madrid.
In addition, Barcelona are scheduled to play the Catalan derby against RCD Espanyol in La Liga, while further domestic clashes against Celta Vigo and Getafe CF are also set to take place later in April.
It is worth noting that Raphinha had previously suffered a hamstring injury in the same right thigh earlier this season, back in September. The 29-year-old winger was sidelined for two months on that occasion, following a setback during his recovery process.
As a result, Barcelona are expected to take a cautious approach with their key attacker, avoiding any unnecessary risks by rushing him back to action prematurely.
For now, the La Liga champions await Raphinha’s return with anticipation, as further medical tests will clarify the extent of his hamstring injury and provide a clearer outlook on his recovery.
