Barcelona identifies Lewandowski’s replacement in preparation for signing him

Barcelona appears to have made up its mind regarding its summer signings, and is now working on registering the players it has already signed. The biggest question remains regarding its attacking line, with Robert Lewandowski’s contract expiring.

Lewandowski will turn 37 next summer, and the Polish striker is one of the highest-paid players on the team. After four years with the club, Barcelona is expected to part ways with the veteran striker by then, even if he claims he still has years of experience.

Barcelona Considering Signing Harry Kane

However, replacing Lewandowski will not be easy. Barcelona has a buyout clause in Marcus Rashford’s loan deal, believed to be worth between €30 and €35 million, or they may turn to Ferran Torres as a permanent solution. However, in recent years, they have been linked with traditional left-backs to replace Lewandowski.

According to Spanish journalist Andy Cailla, Barcelona is considering Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as a potential replacement for Lewandowski.

Reports indicate that Bayern Munich’s management has decided to dispense with Kane next summer. The possibility was discussed this year, but after a recent meeting, the Bavarian giants plan to let him leave at the end of this season.

Kane will be 33 next season and will have only one year left on his contract with Bayern Munich—a situation similar to what happened when Barcelona moved to sign Lewandowski.
