Paris Saint-Germain is discussing a €130 million offer from Real Madrid to sign their star midfielder

Real Madrid has been interested in Vitinha for quite some time, not just recently. However, signing the Portuguese midfielder would require a “crazy” move, especially since Paris Saint-Germain holds him in very high regard.
Luka Modric was officially unveiled this week as a new AC Milan player, receiving a hero’s welcome in Lombardy despite being 39 years old. Still, there is a sense of sorrow at Real Madrid. While the Croatian no longer had the same impact in recent months, he played a crucial role as the team’s metronome — a role that will now be sorely missed, and one that new manager Xabi Alonso fully understands.
Alonso is looking to reinforce the midfield with two key profiles: one aggressive player capable of responding to physical games and waking the team up when needed, and another who can control the rhythm of play and dictate the tempo as he envisions. According to the Spanish newspaper AS, the ideal candidate for the latter is Vitinha, PSG’s central midfielder.
PSG sets a huge price tag for Vitinha, and Real Madrid is well aware
Vitinha feels very comfortable in Paris, where the departure of big stars allowed him to flourish and become a key figure in Luis Enrique’s plans. He has signed a long-term contract that protects him from any transfer moves for the foreseeable future.
Real Madrid will struggle to convince PSG to even open negotiations. According to the Spanish press, PSG would only begin discussions if Real is ready to put €130 million on the table — a price tag that is seen as almost prohibitive.
Such a fee would make Vitinha the most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history and the biggest sale in PSG’s history. But for now, aside from rumors circulating in the Spanish media, there’s no real indication that such a transfer is likely to happen.
Still, Defensa Central highlights that with Toni Kroos leaving last summer and Luka Modric departing this year, Real Madrid is clearly missing a player capable of putting his foot on the ball and controlling the game’s tempo. But finding such a player at PSG won’t be easy — unless Real Madrid is ready to make a truly wild financial move this summer.
